Are you a talented chef looking for a new job opportunity? We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and driven chef to run the kitchen at the Four Walls Wine & Cocktail Bar. The chef will control and direct the food preparation process and all other relative activities, including constructing menus, coordinating inventory and purchases, cooking and presenting delicious meals, and leading kitchen staff to deliver food that meets the highest quality standards.

To ensure success in your role as Chef, you should be an excellent leader with great organizational skills and impeccable time management. Top candidates will also be creative individuals, capable of creating dishes that set us apart and keep members and guests coming back for more.


  • Overseeing all kitchen operations including setting up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment.
  • Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
  • Designing and planning menus, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients, that enhance customers’ culinary experience while keeping up high quality.
  • Submitting cost proposals for menu items.
  • Designing standardized food presentation guidelines for each dish.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of commonly used items, taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
  • Looking for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.
  • Coordinating kitchen staff, and assisting them as required.
  • Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
  • Inform wait staff about daily specials
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Enforcing health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
  • Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
  • Participate in the interview process and selection of kitchen staff.
  • Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends.
  • Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.


  • Proven work experience as a Chef 
  • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Ability to run stocktaking and place orders for resupply.
  • Set up control systems that will assure quality and portion consistency and the ability to create proper purchasing specifications
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
  • Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)


  • College degree in culinary science or related fields or equivalent formal culinary training and certification
  • 3-5 years experience in high-volume kitchens
  • Previous kitchen management experience
  • Food Handlers Certificate
